Fellowships


Where should I look for a fellowship?

One of the easiest places to find a fellowship is at your "own university."




Undergraduate Fellowships
  • Beckman Scholars Program. This fellowship recognizes outstanding students in chemistry and the biological sciences. It provides a stipend of $ 19, 300 for two summers and one academic year. 


Graduate Fellowships 
  • Ford Foundation Fellowship Program. This fellowship is part of the National Academy of Science,  and it's goal is to increase the number of minorities in academia and research. The Ford Foundation Fellowship program provides awards to pre-doctoral (1-3 Ph.D), Dissertation, and postdoctoral candidates. For eligibility and guileness press here.

  • Churchill Scholarship from The Winston Churchill Foundation of the United States. This scholarship pays for all tuition expenses, provides a travel award. For additional information click here







Postdoctoral 

  • The American Cancer Society.  This fellowship provides a 3 year support to an independent career in cancer research. The award may be for three years.  

  • IRACDA Postdoctoral Fellowship. Provides research and teaching training. Fellows need to have a research mentor, as well get assigned teaching a teaching assignment either on the same university or a partner college.
